LIttle Lion Man

First, I want to give a shout out to Bekaah for turning me onto Mumford and Sons! Their music reminds me so much of Ireland, even though they are English. Oh, how I miss the Emerald Isle! While I was shooting a wedding on Saturday, Kyle took Declan out to get the CD as a welcome home present, it was such a nice surprise! The wedding was awesome. It was at the Basilica of St. Josaphat followed by a reception at the Harley-Davidson Museum. That place is incredible, it was really neat to check it out. I would highly recommend it. Thanks Amanda and the newly married Schmids for allowing me to help out!

So, Sunday morning I met Bryn, Greg and Will at the Lion's Den Gorge in Grafton. The sun was shining bright and the weather was crisp. It seems the cool weather brought in sleepless nights for the children of Port Washington as neither Will nor Declan got a good night's rest on Saturday. Despite being "not as his best" as Bryn said, I was able to sneak in a few good shots before Will ran in the opposite direction. He looked so cute in his jersey blazer, I couldn't even stand it! Enjoy your sneak peak

After the shoot, Kyle, Chris, Declan, Shannon and I made our way to Miller Park for the Brewer's last home game of the season. The seats were amazing, 3 rows behind the dugout! I was really worried about how Declan would handle the noise, crowd, being confined to a seat for an extended period of time but he did fabulous. Everyone around us was commenting on how well behaved he was. The Brew Crew brought down the house with 5 home runs and a final score of 7-1. Thanks Dave and Betsy for the tickets!
Clearly loving it (good lord, look at that Homer Simpson belly my kid is rockin')

Fall is here!

Tomorrow is the fall equinox, I love fall. I love watching the leaves change and fall to the ground (and the wind blowing them into our neighbor's yard, hehe). Halloween is pretty much my most favorite holiday and I am dying to bust out the decorations but Kyle keeps telling me to hold off a bit more. However, my fall joy came to a screeching halt over the weekend when I saw not one but two Macy's Christmas commercials. Less than 100 days until my least favorite day of the year, Christmas. I am a Grinch, Scrooge, whatever you want to call it, there are few things I like about Christmas. Ba hum bug to the max.

We were able to take in the lovely fall weather here in Wisconsin-cold and wet-at Cedarburg's Harvest Fest. We watched the Giant Pumpkin Regatta, 4 guys paddling in giant pumpkins, what's not to like?! Declan was a total grump the whole time Grandma and Grandpa were with us and as soon as they left he was so happy, crawling around, playing, etc.

Marathon day is quickly approaching, we had to cut our last long run a little short because Kyle's knee was bothering him. Please remember to donate if you can so we can reach our fundraising goal for Children's Memorial Hospital.

Super Sunday!

First up on this jam packed Sunday is Casey. She is a friend from school (Alverno) and was a roommate when we did our trip to Ireland. Ah, memories : ) Here is your preview Casey, I had a blast today. When you are famous, give me a shout!

So gorg!

This is Jordan, he is the son of a friend of a friend. And, one of my first senior shoots. He was super relaxed, maybe a little too much for his mom's taste but he worked the camera, even with his 2 little siblings trolling the yard!

Trying not to pay attention to the chocolate milk mess that is happening 3 feet away!

Last but certainly not least, it is Toni and co! She is another friend from school. Her kids were cute, funny, friendly, etc. Great kids. Toni, you are a super fabulous mom! She is such a hard worker, student, mom-I wanted to give her a special shout out.

I love this one. So happy!
